Arthroscopy Cable Organization System

Arthroscopic procedures require many power cables and fluid tubes which easily become tangled during surgery.

Goal:

Reduce set-up time for surgery by 5 minutes.

Observing Surgery

My partner and I were invited by Doctor David Carrier to observe him perform arthroscopic procedures. There, we studied the process of preparing for surgery, and take-down of equipment.

Previously, cables and tubes came packaged together in a sterile casing, but did not have an organizational structure like the other instruments did.

 Molded silicone components

These components old cords in place in organized tray before surgery and also support cords and tubes during the procedure.

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
